We have enjoyed a wonderful 2 days in your beautiful cottage.  Your warm hospitality expressed through the delightful lemon poppy seed cake and wine, plus breakfast treats made us feel very special.  Just what we needed after the stresses of the last few months of the pandemic.  Laurella was food for our souls! Marlborough luxury garden cottage

Laurella is fully self contained accommodation and has been meticulously restored and decorated by your hosts Dave and Sue. With a definite botanical theme running throughout the cottage, every detail has been thought of, to make your stay in Blenheim Marlborough as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. The kitchen and bathroom joinery, along with the furniture have been designed and made by us on site, with the same passion and attention we’d decorate our own home.

With Marlborough as the sunshine capital of NZ,  we have made sure there are many secluded places around the cottage and garden for you to relax and enjoy a glass of local Marlborough wine. Your accommodation has its own private courtyard with an outdoor table setting for alfresco dining, along with the all important bbq where you might enjoy a fillet or two of our world renown Marlborough Salmon.  As the garden is a important part of the cottage we have ensured that garden views are available from every room or simply take pleasure in watching the white fantail pigeons from the verandah.

As your hosts we will make certain that your stay at Laurella Cottage is an enjoyable and memorable experience that you will want to return again and again, or at least share with your friends and family.
A tip and recommendation by the owners Dave and Sue -  “nearly all the guests comment on departure that 2 nights was just not enough to enjoy the grounds and cottage and visit the local attractions” , so we recommend a 3 night stay, which then gives visitors two full days allowing time to explore the local wineries and attractions and a day to take a cruise on the beautiful Queen Charlotte Sounds which are only 20 minutes from Laurella Cottage.

In the heart of the stunning Marlborough, wine region of New Zealand.
A 5 minute walk takes you to the nearest winery where you can enjoy lunch and tastings amongst the vines.  Only 10 minutes to the airport and Blenheim - perfect location to explore all that Marlborough offers.
